First Sunrise of 2025

Despite the all night noises of fireworks, Troy and I were inspired to wake up in the dark, don head lamps, and trudge one large step at a time up the 1,048 stairs to the top of Koko Head. Along with a couple of hundred other brave troopers.

We made it to the top in plenty of time to greet the first sunrise of 2025 – sweaty, achey-legged and breathless but exhilirated and hopeful!

The journey down was much easier on the lungs, if not the knees, and we were so proud of ourselves that we ate extra homemade breakfast burritos once we got home.
